High Tensile Wire For Electric Fences

This is a spool of HIGH TENSILE wire for electric fences.

2.0mm in diameter and 200m long, it’s only really suitable for permanent & perimeter fences. It comes on a wooden spool making it easier to put than the larger coils that high tensile wire normally comes in.

For those unfamiliar with high tensile wire, this is almost springy. It doesn’t stretch easily and wants to snap back to its original shape if it gets bent or pulled. That springiness gives you a much stronger, longer-lasting fence or support wire that stays tight and needs very little maintenance. Mild Steel Wire is more malleable and will stretch if put under high strain but is far easier to work with.

One thing to consider when using this wire is not to have it too tight as it will contract in colder months and may cut into the fence insulators.

For insulators, we would recommend our Wire Insulators and always use very strong Corner Eggs For Steel Wire in the corners.
