Fitted with the industry-standard A5 snap-on blade system, the Saphir Style is compatible with a huge range of blades from Heiniger and other leading manufacturers. It comes supplied with a No.10 blade, making it ideal for veterinary preparation, trimming horses’ heads, ears, whiskers (where permitted), fetlocks and bridal paths, as well as clipping dogs and other small animals.

Although powerful for its size, it’s important to understand what this clipper is designed for. The Saphir Style is intended as a trimmer and light-duty clipper, rather than a replacement for a full-size horse clipper. It’s perfect for tidying, show preparation and lighter clipping jobs, but if you’re planning to clip several heavily-coated horses each winter, a mains clipper or larger cordless horse clipper will be a better investment.
