Description

This is a electric fencing kit for horses, powered by one of Gallaghers solar energisers, supplied with white plastic fence posts and 200m of 20mm white tape, along with everything you need to get up and running.

The kit includes 20 plastic posts (3ft as standard) and a roll of high-visibility 20mm white tape, making it ideal for temporary paddocks, strip grazing or dividing fields. White tape is widely used for horses as it’s far more visible than rope or wire, helping prevent horses from pushing through or misjudging the fence.

You can choose from a range of Gallagher lithium solar energisers, depending on the length of fence and how strong you want the pulse on the line. These are self-contained units with built-in lithium batteries and solar panels, designed for field use without the need for mains power or regular battery changes.

All energisers in this kit come with a 7-year manufacturer warranty (when registered), which reflects how reliable these units are over the long term.

Choose your energiser

• Gallagher S16Li (0.13J output)

Best suited to short strip grazing setups and small paddocks. Ideal for clean fence lines up to around 1–1.5km.

• Gallagher S20Li (0.15J output)

A bit more output for short paddocks and light grazing setups up to around 2km. A sensible step up if you want a bit more consistency.

• Gallagher S30Li (0.21J output)

A good all-round unit for larger paddocks or longer runs up to around 2–3km. This is often the right choice for general horse fencing.

• Gallagher S60Li (0.52J output)

The most powerful option in this kit, suited to longer fence runs or where you want a stronger pulse. A good option for larger setups or more challenging conditions.

All energisers include connection leads and are designed to be mounted on a post or earth stake (included).

The kit also includes our “bag of bits”, which contains useful extras such as a heavy-duty gate handle, 2 x gate handle insulators, 4 x ring insulators, warning sign and a basic tester — items you’ll often need depending on how your fence is set up.

The posts supplied are 3ft as standard, with options to upgrade to taller posts if required.

This is a straightforward, adaptable kit that can be set up quickly and moved or extended as your grazing changes.
