Description
The Balfour B250 is a German 9v battery fence energiser for smaller paddock fencing and strip grazing.
It has 0.17 Output joules so suitable for up fences around 2km long with a 2,600 volt pulse so well suited for equestrian use.
9v fence energisers are powered by non-rechargeable 9v batteries but as the power consumption is fairly low, the batteries last a good while. There are a variety of battery capacities available ranging from 55Ah Alkaline lasting 2/3 months to the 200Ah Alkaline lasting up to a year. A solar panel is also available which powers the energiser directly during sunlight letting the battery kick in during darker hours. This will extend the battery life considerably.
This unit can also be powered by 12v when using an . This will give a higher output joule rating of 0.22OJ and the running voltage will increase too.
It comes with an earth stake which the unit will sit on and the connection leads to both the earth and the fence are included too.
Like all 9v units, this is not suitable for netting.

Our Opinion
Super unit. We commissioned these as the Titan B250’s were selling and performing so well that we had these made with the same circuitry inside.
