Description
This SunPower solar electric fence energiser is the largest solar powered fencer in the range with a very impressive 3.0 output joules. It’s got TWO power levels and has enough oomph to power a 20km fence or 8 poultry / rabbit nets*.
This integrated unit has a 30w solar panel array on the front which charges the internal 12v battery (18Ah) during daylight hours. The energiser, mounted on the rear, takes it’s power from the internal battery and puts the pulse down the fenceline. The battery can be removed to recharge in winter months, should it be necessary, and charging leads for that are provided.
Like the others in this range, the S3000 has TWO power settings. The lower one gives a 1.1 OJ with a 5,600v pulse (at 500ohms) & the higher setting gives 3.0 Output Joules with a 6,200 volt pulse at 500ohms. This makes it ideal for regular paddock fencing and if you need to add on another field or two, or have a new arrival, then you have the additional power to hand.
It comes with a 1m earth stake which it can be mounted on and there is an optional steel mounting bracket which screws to a wooden post if you’d rather have the energiser up off the ground and secured to a post. Leads to connect the energiser to both the earth stake and the fenceline are also in the box.

Our Opinion
If you need a big beast of a unit to run a fence in a remote location then look closely at this one. Cracking guarantee of 5 yrs for the energiser and a good sized battery on the inside is always welcome.
