Description
The Raptor range of energisers from Hotline are incredibly versatile fencers with some very useful features. They can run from mains, 12v or 6v battery – if you’re using this as a mains fencer and have a 6v battery inserted, this will kick in and power your fence if there’s a power cut.
The Fence Performance Monitor. has an LED display which flashes with every pulse to let you know the power status of your fence. Flashing green means everything is good and your fence has plenty of power. Blue means it’s acceptable and if the display flashes red then the fence has very low power and needs attention. There is also a central LED which flashes red when the 12v battery needs recharging or when it’s running on 6v battery backup.
There are 2 models to choose from, the Raptor 80 (0.7 OUTPUT Joules), the Raptor 170 (1.3 OUTPUT Joules), please see for further information. The Raptor range has a choice of power options:
Mains Powered
The Raptor comes with a mains adapter and this just plugs into the side of the unit. Like all mains energisers, it should be housed inside a building with running out to both the electric fence and the earth stake.
12v Battery
When running the Raptor from a 12v battery just plug the connection cables supplied into the side and attach to the battery terminals.
6v Battery
It can be run by using a 6v square battery which can be inserted into the underside of the energiser which will allow the energiser to run up to 10 weeks (depending on the size of energiser). This will be at a lower voltage and we do not recommend powering electric netting this way purely because of the nets power consumption.
