This is a complete electric fencing kit for horses and it’s ideal for strip grazing and temporary fencing. It’s powered by the Fenceman B430 energiser, a very portable 9v battery fencer with two power output settings and a battery warning light.

The Fenceman B430 comes with it’s own earth stake and stand with mounting bracket, and connection leads to attach a 9v battery. It’s a sturdy unit with a compartment to house the 9v battery inside and a strong carry handle so it’s very easy to just lift and move around the field. It has two power output settings so it’s really versatile if you have a horse that tests the fence a bit or if you want to extend the fence in future.

On the higher power setting, it has an output joule rating of 0.3J which will easily power up to 3km of fencing. The low power setting of 0.15 output joules will power up to 1.5km and conserve battery life for around twice as long. The unit has a battery warning light which starts to flash when the battery life drops below 7.75v and indicates it’s time to buy a replacement battery.

The B430 kit comes with a 55Ah Alkaline 9v battery as standard so it works straight out of the box. You can upgrade your choice of batttery via the drop down box at the top of the page. There is a choice of alkaline type 9v batteries in different sizes. Please see here for further information on 9v battery types and capacities. The 55Ah battery should power your fence on high power for around 6 weeks continuous use and on low power for 2-3 months. Larger capacity batteries will last relatively longer with the 175Ah battery lasting around 6 months on high power and up to a year on the low power setting. Please note, 9v batteries are non-rechargeable.

The kit comes with 20 x 3′ posts as standard and there’s an option to upgrade to taller posts if you wish. The tape is a 200m roll of our green 20mm poly tape, this has four stainless steel conductors running through it and it’s ideal for medium length horse fencing. You can buy additional rolls of this 20mm tape, and extra posts if you want to extend your fence.

Also included are a gate handle and some ring insulators to make some solid fixing points, a basic tester and a warning sign.

NB Kits with the extra tall posts (4’6″) can only be delivered with a 48hr service due to their size and cannot be delivered to N Ireland, Highlands & Islands and some AB postcodes.
