The Fibreglass Electric Fence Post (125cm x 12mm) is a lightweight yet incredibly tough solution for building flexible and durable fencing systems. Sold in packs of ten, these posts are ideal for use with horses, cattle, and sheep, making them a versatile choice for both farmers and equestrian yards across the UK.

Nice and basic, each post features a robust fibreglass core with a polyester fleece coating that provides excellent durability while keeping the weight low. This makes them easy to handle, transport, and install, especially in strip grazing or rotational grazing systems where frequent movement of posts is required. Despite their lightness, they are remarkably sturdy and can withstand the rigours of daily use in the field and frequent moving around. The footplate is fixed to the post and the pin is just an extension of the post and not an additional pin stuck on the end so they are considerably stronger than the attached pin variety.

A key advantage of fibreglass posts is their adjustable insulator system. Separate, extra-tough insulators can be attached at any height, allowing you to set wire, twine, or rope lines exactly where you need them. This flexibility makes the posts suitable for a wide variety of fencing layouts and livestock requirements, from low wires for sheep and goats to higher lines for horses and cattle. The ringlet insulators are designed to take both polywire and steel wire, ensuring a secure hold and reliable conductivity.

Our Opinion
As tough as they come. If you’re sick of breaking a few posts every time a fence is dismantled and moved from one place to another then these are for you. They cost a bit more but you’ll struggle to damage them. I was surprised by those wee plastic insulators too. They’re very strong and will hold at whatever height you set them at.
