Balfour Duo 3000

Description

The Balfour Duo 3000 is the largest energiser in the Balfour Duo range and has replaced the superseded Titan 3000 which we sold for years. It can be powered by both mains (must be mounted inside) and from a 12v battery when outside and has an on/off button on the side that saves taking leads rom battery terminals when needing to turn it off.

This model has an OUTPUT JOULE rating of 2.0J which will power a 10km stretch of electric fencing. Under normal line resistance levels of 500 Ohms it will still put a 6,100v pulse through the fence so it’s perfect for medium length horse fences. Capable of powering 5 poulry / rabbit nets

It’s German made and comes with a 3 year warranty.

The cables to connect to both mains and battery are included in the box as are the leads to connect to an earth stake and the fence when the unbit is on a 12v battery. Cable to connect the unit to the fence an an earth stake when being powered from the mains are not included but the larger 2.5mm insulated cable should be used and various lengths can be chosen at .

For earthing we would recommend either a 1m earth stake if using from the mains, and if using with a 12v battery in the field, the combined earth/stand is a perfect for most fences. The black earth lead, included, can be attached to this and the unit hung vertically with the stake pushed into the ground next to your battery. This stand/earth stake does not come with the unit as standard but is an optional extra.

Our Opinion
This unit is excellent value for money and has plenty of power for most needs without the price tag of other brands. The on/off switch is handy and the 3yr warranty gives piece of mind.
