Balfour B450

Description

The Balfour B450 is a higher powered version of the B250 and suitable for when you want a lightweight unit and battery but need that little bit extra oomph.

Made in Germany, this has a 0.3 Output joule rating with a 3,100v pulse and will power a 3km fence.

This is powered by 9v dry cell batteries which are very lightweight and easily replaced. Power consumption is fairly low 24-36mA) and the batteries will last a good while. We stock several battery sizes and capacities range from 55Ah Alkaline, lasting 2/3 months, to the 200Ah Alkaline lasting up to a year. A solar panel is also available which powers the energiser directly during sunlight letting the battery kick in during darker hours. This will extend the battery life considerably.

This unit can also be powered by 12v when using . This will give a higher output joule rating of 0.4OJ and the running voltage will increase too.

It comes with an earth stake which the unit will sit on and the connection leads to both the earth and the fence are included too.

Like all 9v units, this is not suitable for netting.

Great unit with all the advantages of lightweight 9v energisers but with that wee bit more zap behind it so perfect for those with slightly longer fences or slightly more stubborn animals.
