Description
These 110cm posts are made from very thick plastic and are far more rigid than the standard posts that come with the chicken netting and are intended to give extra support where needed.
When installing an electric netting system it is quite often the case that the posts in the corners will bend inwards if put under much pressure . This can result in some sagging and therefore some power from the energiser being lost to earth. Previously the solution to this has been either using guy ropes to hold back the corner post, supporting the corner post by tying it back to a wooden post hammered just outside the fence with bailer twine or the addition of extra posts throughout the length of the net.
These posts have a double spike on the ends which gives a far greater grip in the soil so they will not move under pressure and the spikes are about an inch or so longer than with the normal posts that come with electric netting.
The width of these support posts is also greater than normal and at 3/4″ thick they are very strong and will not bend under pressure. There is a small catch to hold the bottom line of the net to the base of these posts (not pictured) and the top line gets lifted up and hooks into the groove on top. The posts are ever so slightly taller than the netting and this is to put most of the strain on the top line to keep the whole fence taught and allow the rest of the net to be under no pressure at all.
They work remarkably well and even after being outdoors in all conditions they will keep your netting from sagging. This will minimise earth leakages and make the chicken pen more secure.
NB These are suitable for 110cm high chicken netting only
