Description
The Gemini series from Hotline are one of our top selling dual-power fencers. This is a 12v battery energiser which comes with a mains adapter to allow it to work from the mains making it a very versatile power unit for a wide range of electric fencing.
There are 3 models in the range – the Gemini 40 has an OUTPUT JOULE rating of 0.4J which will power a 4km stretch of electric fencing at around 3,900 so it’s perfect for small paddocks up to medium length horse fences. The higher output Gemini 80 and Gemini 120 are ideal for longer fences and we particularly recommend them for electric netting as it’s so power-hungry!
The mains adapter that’s included is a bit like a mobile phone charger and just plugs into the side of the unit. Although it’s fully weather-proof and designed for being out in all weathers it must be housed indoors when being powered by the mains.
It comes with all the required connection leads to attach to a 12v battery (not included) and to an earth stake and to the electric fence line itself but if you’re powering the unit from the mains you may need additional to cover the distance from the outhouse to the fence and the earth stake.
Ideal for the person who powers a remote fence during part of the year and likes the flexibility of powering the fence from the mains if it’s available at other times.
