Description
This is a very mobile kit for fencing in your horse and is equally suitable for strip grazing and permanent fencing. Everything you will need to make it work (including the battery) is in the box.
There’s a choice of TWO energisers and the option to add a solar panel to the unit which will help to extend the battery life.
The energisers are the Balfour B250 and Balfour B450. Both are 9v units and use a non-rechargeable 9v battery although both can run from a 12v battery with connection cables (not included with the kit but can be see here). The Balfour B250 will easily power up to 2km of fence line at around 2.600v. With it’s low current consumption and normal/battery saving pulse setting, this will conserve battery power longer than most 9v fencers. The slightly larger Balfour B450 has 0.3 output joules giving a fence voltage of 3,100v and will power around 3Km of fencing and also has 2 pulse settings to save on battery consumption.
