These are very strong tape insulators that screw into wooden fenceposts and will hold the tape securely in position without causing any damage to the tape itself.
Both 20mm & 40mm tape can be used and just slots into the larger cavity in the insulator. The sides of the insulator cavity have tiny horizontal grooves on them which when held shut will hold the tape without causing any damage to the tape conductors which run parallel. This will not affect the performance or the lifespan of the tape in any way.
The outer tongue is pushed up against the main body and the clip at the top comes over to hold it in position. The spring of the inner tongue holds the tape firm without being too strong for the polytape or so brittle that it loses it's spring in colder weather or over a period of time.
The thread on the insulator's screw also has a notch cut out of it making it easier for it to bite into the wood when being screwed in place. We also have a
screw in tool which will make installing these a bit easier.
Ideally suited for most tape fences and the main advantage over insulators that hold tape loosely is that should the tape break for any reason then the remaining tape will not flap around destroying itself. The fenceline will still be in position apart from the area which has broken.
Sold in packs of 25 and if buying 4 or more packs there's a price discount.
We also supply these as a distance insulator
here if you'd rather have the electric fence tape held about 7 - 8in away from the fence line.
