Sunpower S1000 Solar Energiser

The Sunpower S1000 solar fence energiser from Ako hasTWO power levels and has enough oomph to power a 8km fence or two 50m poultry / rabbit nets.

This integrated unit has the same casing and 8w solar panel as the Sunpower S500 model but comes with far more powerful circuitry and a larger internal 12Ah 12v battery. The solar panel keeps the battery topped up as the energiser takes the power and puts it sown the fenceline as a high powered pulse. The battery can be removed from the energiser casing and given the odd recharge when needed when the days are shorter and charging leads for that are provided. We've noticed that most solar units need a couple of additional charges during winter in the UK just to cope with the lack of sunlight.

There are two power settings on this fencer to suit the conditions. The lower one gives a 0.6 OJ with a 4000v pulse (at 500ohms) & the higher setting gives 1.0 Output Joules with a 5000 volt pulse at 500ohms. We find a lot of people like the ability to have it on a lower settting in summer time but can have it on a higher setting for that additional bit of oomph when horses are rugged or when new horses are introduced.

Two short earth stakes come with this energsier which join together to give a longer earth spike that the unit can be mounted on. There's also a warning sign and connection leads to attach to the fenceline and to the earth stake included in the box.

The solar energiser comes with a manufacturers 4 year warranty and the battery comes with a 6 month warranty.

Our Opinion
This whole range of solar powered electric fence energisers is great and this mid power one is perfect for having a couple of paddocks secured. We particularly like the larger capacity 12v battery that comes with it.
