50m Rabbit Netting Kit

This is the perfect all in one solution to keep rabbits under control and away from flower beds, vegetable patches etc. This kit contains everything you need to provide the best electric fence barrier to keep them out.

The netting is one of our 50m lengths of green rabbit electric net which is 50cm high with the holes in the nets starting off small and getting larger as the net gets taller. The first 6 holes are 5cm high and the top 2 are 10cm high so it's a fairly secure barrier even before the energiser is attached to it.

Of the 9 horizontal lines, all but the bottom one have stainless steel conductors running through them so the pulses of power can run through them unhindered and they all join at each end. The last post in the net sees the conductors run up them and from there into a tail where they are held together in a clip. If you have several nets then current runs from one into the other by joining these together. It is not essential to connect the end tails of your nets together to form a circle.

The energiser is a Gemini 40 from Hotline which will be able to energise 3 rabbit nets easily. This is a dual powered energiser and therefore you can power it from the mains or from a 12v battery. The kit contains a 1m long earth spike which the unit can hang from if using it with a battery. Just push the rod into the ground and mount the power unit on the washers and tigthen them up with the wing nut. Attach the leads (incl) to the net, the earth spike and to the battery and that's it!

When powering the kit from the mains, the mains adapter cable (incl) should be plugged in to a socket and the jack plug goes directly into the side of the unit. Although cables to go to the fence and the earth stake are included, unless your power point is very close to the net it is likely that you'll have to get enough insulated lead out cable to go from both terminals out to the fence & earth stake.

NB. When setting the fence net up it's preferable (but not essential) to have it at a bit of an angle over the rabbits heads so it's their ears which feel the shock. When this happens they don't even think about trying to get through it - they just turn the other way!
