This is the updated verson of the HotShock A50 which we have sold for many years. The only difference we can see is that it's now called the HotShock A300. The advanced circuitry, output & reliability remains the same.
The pulse this energiser normally produces is minimal (saves on battery power) but will detect any resistance caused by an animal touching it and increases the output accordingly. This additional "oomph" also allows it to clear foliage by sensing continual resistance and supplying bursts of power down the fence to clear long grass touching it. While it won't clear excessive growth the odd piece here and there will get burnt away. For anybody with a number of poultry, sheep or rabbit nets this will save a lot of time spraying or strimming under them and give confidence knowing that any power leakage to earth from foliage is minimised.
This has a maximum 3.0 Output Joules with 5,800v (with 500Ohms resistance) and is capable of powering up to 15km of electric fencing and up to 14 poultry, sheep or rabbit electric nets.
There are two power settings and an on/off switch on the side.
